The Family Communion class is designed to help parents explain communion and its importance to their children. This class is usually offered during Sunday-morning Connections hour every three years; however, we are excited to offer the class on four consecutive Wednesday evenings, thereby opening it to more families. The class is designed for children grades 1-6 who are invited to attend with a parent or grandparent. Children may not attend alone. This class is not a “rite of passage”, but is intended to start a discussion among families.

There is no charge, however, we do need five families registered in order to hold the class. Due to space constraints, we will be limiting the class to 15 families. Participation in this class is a great opportunity for your family to prepare for the Easter season. Hope you can join us.

Highlights to expect:

  • Weekly story to explore the Biblical truth through the eyes of a child.
  • Symbolic Seder Meal (week 1)
  • Parent and child discussion activities
  • Special activities to do at home that form a basis for family devotional times.
  • Family communion service (week 4)
  • Family communion preparation card to help your family participate in communion services throughout the year.
