Bethel’s Reopen Plan

Bethel leadership continues to monitor CDC and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines for the best practices for gathering in a safe way and to adjust accordingly. We are committed to creating an environment that meets government recommendations for your safety. To make that possible, our weekend services are designed to create a sanitary, touch-less environment that allows for social distancing (see below). We  look forward to seeing you and worshiping with you!

A Message from Pastor Seth

In-Person Worship Services Begin

Worship services will be held on Sundays at Bethel Church at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in the Worship Center.

Social Distancing

We ask that Social Distancing is maintained throughout the facility and that household families remain together.

Making Room

Once you arrive outside the Worship Center, you will be ushered to a seat in the Welcome Center to help maintain Social Distancing. Your early arrival will be extremely helpful to accommodate this extra time needed in seating attendees. We will fill our Worship Center at 50% capacity on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once the Worship Center is filled to capacity, we will begin seating in the Great Hall where a “live” video feed from the Worship Center will be shown. Following the services, you will be asked to remain in your seat as a Greeter will dismiss you.

Face Masks

All staff and volunteers will be required to wear face masks except when on the platform or in the tech booth. Face masks for all attenders will also be required with exceptions for children under age 5. Complimentary face masks will be available if you would like one.

Touch-Less Service

Bulletins will not be provided, and offering will not be taken during the worship service. Boxes are available at each of the doors to drop off your offering, and an online giving option and up-to-date information can be found on our website.

Coffee will not be provided, and Busy Bags for children have been removed. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the facility.

Shortened Service & Limited Singing

Services will be 60 minutes. This will provide adequate time between services for cleaning and disinfecting public areas. We will have fewer songs in our worship services to minimize aerosols.

The nursery will remain closed at this time. For your convenience, diaper changing tables are available in each of the bathrooms on the upper level of the church.

Sunday School & Connections Classes

We will not have in-person Sunday School and Connections Classes. Some Connections Classes are meeting by Zoom and are encouraged to continue doing so at this time.

Sick or Vulnerable

For your safety if you are sick or vulnerable, we ask that you stay home and join our on-line service at 9:00 a.m.
*This plan refers to the reopening of Sunday services, weddings, funerals and large events only. Ministry-specific reopening and events will be communicated to you as they develop. We will make every effort to ensure that you have the information you need to safely return to Bethel Church.
